Travel to learn – return to inspire

The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust (WCMT) was established in 1965, created by public subscription as the living legacy of Sir Winston Churchill. Every year 150 Fellowships are awarded as travel grants for 4-8 weeks. Fellowships are awarded to UK citizens to travel overseas to undertake research under one of eight themes, to address problems identified in the UK and bring back solutions for the benefit of others in the UK. Fellowships are practical inquiries into real-world issues that Fellows have encountered in their daily lives.
